I can’t believe I’m already on day 5 of my Simply Lippy challenge, I had so many nerves and doubts about doing this challenge – whether I could pull it off, whether people would like it or not, but I’m so glad I took the plunge and decided to give it a shot.
I was up early this morning for a few appointments, and went back to Slimming World to kick start my healthy eating again, so I didn’t have much time to get ready. As a result, I went for a very light makeup look comprising of a little foundation, a sweep of blush and a quick dollop of mascara to brighten up my eyes. Because of this, I wanted to keep my lips simple too and therefore decided to wear one of my nude lippies from the Kate Moss for Rimmel collection.
For those of you not familiar with the Lasting Finish collaboration range between Kate Moss and Rimmel, it is a collection of varying nude shades ranging from the very pale to brownish-nude, all of which are very easy to wear.
The shade I’m wearing today, shade 43, is in the middle of the range and I would describe it as a soft or pale beige tone. Although both nude shades by Rimmel, this lipstick is very different to the Trendsetter matte nude I wore on Day 3 of this challenge as it has a silky, gloss finish with a peach undertone.
If you’re a bit weary of lipsticks and don’t wear them often, this is definitely a good shade to try out and ease you in. I love this shade for giving just a hint of a tint to the lips and it has a very creamy formula too. Because it’s pale, the colour isn’t super long lasting, but with nude shades I don’t really think that’s a huge issue.
How do you feel about lighter lips? Do you dare to go nude? I’d love to hear your thoughts so please comment below.
It’s Friday tomorrow and I’m going to get a bit more adventurous for the weekend so make sure you tune in then to see what I’m wearing!
