Simply Lippy Challenge Day 177 | Rimmel Moisture Renew Sheer & Shine Lipstick in Shade 300, Pink Rules

I’ve only ever tried a few L’Oreal lipsticks, and the results have been that I either love them or hate them. Bar one or two, I mostly like them, and today’s lippy falls into that category for sure.

When I saw that the finish was sheer, I was a bit dubious about what the pigment and staying power would be like, but I needn’t have been worried because it has a really lovely finish and the bright raspberry shade, gives a lovely pop of colour to the lips.

The sheer finish makes this super blendable and it has a very light consistency too. The lipstick looks very bold and bright in the tube itself, and thankfully, gives your lips the same bold colour when you apply it.

It’s not opaque so naturally it’s not going to be a bold as a matte or cream finish, but I love the colour it gives nonetheless, and as sheer lipsticks go, it’s definitely one of the better options that I’ve tried.

The staying power also surprised me because sometimes with light formulas the colour wipes off very easily, however, I found there was just enough creaminess to this to make it last okay. I did have to reapply after eating and drinking, but not nearly as much as I thought I would have to.

It’s not secret that I’m a big fan of Rimmel lipsticks, in my opinion, it’s one of the things they rarely get wrong. Of course, I prefer some ranges and shades over others, but I definitely think every lipstick lover could do with having a Rimmel lippy in their makeup bag!

What do you guys think, are you Rimmel fans?
