I’ve tried a few Topshop lipsticks over the ten months of my lipstick challenge, some I’ve liked, others not so much. But today’s lipstick, from the Nude Lip collection, is one that I’m happy to say I really like.
The shade is not one that I would call nude as it’s more of a dark brown, caramel shade with a rich tone that is perfect for this time of year. I’ve always liked rich tones like this, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that both the colour and coverage was really nice.
The consistency is quite light so it blends very easily, and the colour pay off is pretty good too so you don’t need to apply very much. The light texture also makes it very smooth, and it doesn’t dry out the lips either.
The finish is satin, with just a slight gloss to it, so it gives a nice shine to the lips without being very glossy. And even though it’s lightweight, the staying power isn’t bad; I had been expecting it to wear off quickly but the colour stayed in place pretty well.
Overall I’m quite impressed with this and enjoyed wearing it today. There’s something about a shade like this that gets you in a very autumnal mood and I can definitely see myself wearing it again.
That is such a beautiful colour, perfect for this time of year!
