I have become quite fond of these Soap & Glory lippies over the last few months since I tried my first one over the Summer. I’ve tried both matte and gloss finishes, and while I prefer the matte, this gloss version is still pretty good too.
The last gloss shade I tried, Pink Punch, was a rich raspberry shade with a medium coverage, but today’s shade is very different in both colour and formula.
Today’s shade is a very pale coral; it has enough pigment to give a tint of colour but it’s not bold by any means. It also has a kind of shimmer element to it that makes it feel more sheer, even though the colour looks much stronger in the bullet.
My lips are very dry at the moment but the good thing about this is the balm-like formula. It is moisturising and hydrating, and does make your lips feel very soft when you wear it.
To me, this is very much more of a lip balm rather than a lipstick because of how neutral the shade is. And there’s nothing wrong with that per se; just don’t be expecting a lipstick effect if you decide to try it.
Overall I don’t think it’s my favourite Soap & Glory lippy, but it did feel nice to wear and I do love the other shades I’ve tried from the range so far.
