If you follow me on social media, you may recall me talking about Clarins’ Autumn Winter 2017 Graphik collection which they released a few weeks back. Today’s lipstick is one of three new shades that were released, and also my favourite of the three.
Litchi and Deep Red are both lovely shades with the trademark Joli Rouge gloss finish, but today’s shade Guava, is a gorgeous salmon coral shade that is muted enough to be versatile in any season, and I really loved wearing it throughout the day.
It’s no secret by now that I’m a big fan of this lipstick range from Clarins; the formula is very hydrating and moisturising, and leaves your lips feeling incredibly soft when you wear it.
The finish is a satin gloss that blends easily, and the lightweight consistency means it applies very smoothly too. As it has a slight gloss to it, the finish isn’t as good as a matte or cream, but is pretty good nonetheless. And to be honest, I actually didn’t mind when I had to reapply it during the day because of how moisturising it is.
The sign of a great lipstick for me is wanting to wear it again, and I can safely say I will be wearing this one over and over again in the months to come once my challenge has finished.
You may recall that a few weeks ago, the lovely ladies in Clarins sent me some products from their Autumn / Winter 2017 collection, and one of the products they sent me, was this new stunning red lipstick.
They have released three new lipstick shades as part of their AW collection, the first which I tried out last week and loved. Today’s shade is my second shade to try, and I’m loving this one equally as much.
The finish of this lipstick is more glossy than I would usually go for; it has a satin gloss finish that gives the lips a high shine look, and I tend to prefer cream or matte finishes as I’m sure most of you know by now.
However, what makes me love this particular lipstick regardless of the finish, is the fact that it has incredible pigment that gives a gorgeous full coverage finish to the lips, and has very good lasting power too.
The shade itself is slightly more cool toned that I would usually choose, but as I was going to a wedding, I wanted to wear something that would really pop, and this definitely did that.
It wore very well throughout the day and kept my lips very soft and smooth, and only needed to be reapplied after eating lunch. It has a lovely creaminess to it that is very moisturising, and I love how it made my lips feel when I wore it.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge Clarins fan, they do so much, so well, and I’m not adding these lipsticks to my favourites list too.
What do you guys think? Are you a Clarins fan?
Last week, the lovely ladies in Clarins sent me some of their Autumn/Winter 2017 Graphik collection, and part of that, is today’s Simply Lippy choice, a gorgeous new addition to their Joli Rouge collection.
The shade itself is a lovely soft rose shade; it has a sheer gloss finish whilst still having a gorgeous pigment, and it was the perfect choice for a day in the sun today.
I tend to prefer cream and matte finishes as you all know, but the lightness of this formula makes it so nice to wear.
I’ve only tried one of the Joli Rouge lipsticks before today, and what I liked most about it was how hydrating it was on my lips. Thankfully, this lipstick has the same lovely hydrating formula that leaves your lips feeling smooth and soft all day long.
Because of its gloss finish, it adds a pop of shine to the lips that you don’t get with other lippy finishes, and that also makes it super easily to blend and apply.
The colour is slightly more pink on my lips than it looks in the bullet; I was expecting a slightly darker tone when I first saw it. In saying that, I still really like the colour that gave my lips, especially as it’s the perfect holiday shade.
The one downside to this lipstick is the staying power which isn’t amazing. But, it’s what I would expect from a gloss finish lipstick so I wasn’t disappointed by that at all. But just note if you do purchase, you will need to reapply after eating and drinking.
Clarins do some really amazing products and I’ve definitely become a fan of their lipsticks over the past year. This shade is subtle, soft and really lovely for a day when you want something a little different.
