I’ve been feeling very under the weather and a little sorry for myself over the past few days, and in need of something to cheer me up. So this morning I thought, what better way to do that than with a gorgeous bright lippy colour.
The lipstick I chose was a gorgeous blackberry shade, Marry Berry, from Catrice’s shine appeal fluid lipstick collection, a range which I have worn a few shades from recently on both Day 138 and Day 142 of the challenge.
The consistency of these liquid lippy’s is thick with a vinyl-like finish that is soft and smooth on the lips. The bold pigment gives the lips a dramatic pop of colour and the thick consistency allows for a very even application that doesn’t drag or pull the colour underneath too.
The downside to this gloss if I had to choose something, is the lasting power as you only really get an hour or two out of it per application, and it’s probably less if you’re eating or having a cuppa in between.
However, I did love the colour so much that really I didn’t mind having to reapply and will definitely be wearing it again in the future!

Well everyone, Monday is over and for that, I am grateful! Why is it that no matter how old you get, or how many weeks or months go by, Monday never gets any easier or funner?!
Anyway, this Monday called for something fun and bright to get me through the day and what better way to get that than with a coral lip.
Coral; probably my favourite shade – in everything! Whether it’s blusher, clothes, nail polish, or of course, lipstick, coral never fails to put a smile on my face and make everything feel a little brighter and better.
Today my coral loveliness was courtesy of Catrice, in another of their Shine Appeal Fluid lipsticks which you may recall, I tried out for the first time last week.
The consistency of these fluid lipsticks (or lip glosses as they should really be called), is silky smooth and they have a lovely, rich thick formula that gives a luxurious high shine, glossy finish to the lips.
There is no stickiness with the formula as you sometimes get with high gloss products, and the pigment although sheer, is still pretty strong. So much so, that I don’t even know if you could really call it sheer.
I just loved wearing this today; the colour is exactly what I was hoping for from looking at the packaging, and it lasted pretty well for a gloss finish too.
