I first tried one of these liquid lipsticks from Urban Decay when they were released back in March, in a lovely muted pink shade called Balktalk. I hadn’t intended on waiting so long to try my next shade from them as I really liked it, but there have been a lot to get through as you know!
So when I was picking up a few new shades for my holidays and saw this neon coral shade, I couldn’t resist buying it. I love bright lipsticks as I’m sure you all know by now, and this is the perfect holiday shade.
The formula is very creamy for a liquid lipstick, and therefore glides on easily to the lips with little or no effort. The pigment like all Urban Decay lippies, is stunning and has gives amazing colour pay off too.
I did notice that in the Tenerife heat, it did take a little longer to dry in than I remembered, but what’s a few extra minutes on holiday?! Once dry, it stayed in place pretty damn well, even with the 26 degree balmy evening.
It did flake a little when eating dinner so that was slightly disappointing. But as that didn’t happen to me the last time I wore it, I’m putting that down to the heat and not the formula itself.
Overall I absolutely adore this shade and it was the perfect shade to start my holiday off on a bright, sunny note. I do prefer their lipsticks over their liquid lipsticks, but this was a nice change today.
Have any of you tried these yet? By all accounts they are getting good reviews in the beauty world and if you’re a liquid fan, they come in some stunning shades too!
If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you will know that I’ve been so excited about Urban Decay’s Vice Liquid Lipstick launch and finally, it was released a few weeks ago.
I’m a big fan of their products – there’s nothing I’ve tried from UD that I don’t like, so of course the lipstick lover in me has very high hopes for the new Vice collection.
Today I got to try my first Vice liquid lipstick in a lovely deep pink shade I bought called Backtalk, and after just one day of wearing it, I’m absolutely loving it.
The formula itself is liquid with a matte finish, and the matte finish is smooth and creamy which you don’t always get with liquid formulas. It’s not hydrating, but it’s not drying either, and it takes nearly no time at all to dry in and show up its true colour.
The shade itself has a greyish, berry undertone to it, so I would probably describe it as a muted or dull pink, but it is rich enough to still have a bold impact on application. And speaking of application; it’s so quick and easy with the soft, angled brush head.
Everything about this excites me; the packaging, the formula, the colour, the lasting power. I had a feeling it would be a good lipstick, and I’m so glad it has lived up to my expectations.
I’ll definitely be trying out some more shades in the range soon!
